International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
This full-day course explains the controls and processes affecting the export from the USA, reexport or retransfer from abroad, and temporary import into the USA of classified and unclassified defense articles, including defense technical data and defense services that are used in military applications under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. These regulations are administered and enforced by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and apply to all United States persons, including certain foreign operations of US-based companies. The course deals with both State Department Licenses and ITAR exemptions. The relationship to the regulations administered by the Bureau of the Census and their affect on export documentation is carefully reviewed.
