About Us

FTS Associates, Inc. was founded by Paul H. Savoie in 1995, after twenty-five years as an exporter. Prior to starting FTS, Paul worked for three different U.S. manufacturers based in the Northeastern United States, as the Contracts Manager and Export Compliance Manager. Paul wanted to share his knowledge and experience with others in the Trade Community.

Today, our goal remains the same: to provide clear, simplified, cost-sensitive, and comprehensive trade solutions to prospective and existing exporters. We knew that we could bring the world into focus for offshore traders by providing training and consulting services that reduce the obstacles and frustration that translate into the erosion of your profit margin. The combination of our personalized training and consulting programs are allowing us to fulfill this goal.

  • Since 1998, FTS has partnered with one of the largest Freight Forwarder’s in the world, providing export compliance training to all of their U.S. offices, and to many of their shippers. FTS has also provided export compliance audits and ad hoc support to their U.S. Director of Compliance for the past fifteen years. FTS currently delivers export-related training and compliance programs to many other U.S. Freight Forwarders/ logistics companies.
  • FTS provides export classification and export licensing services to several medium-sized U.S. Exporters/ manufacturers. Since 2011, FTS has provided these services to one of the largest chemical manufacturing companies in the world.
